2009 Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake
Saturday, February 21st, 2009
The annual Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake is the most crucial fundraising campaign annually for Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies across the country, and it is no different here in Niagara Falls. Thanks to the support of hundreds of community minded participantssupport in 2008, over 60 boys and girls were matched with a caring volunteer mentor this past year, helping Niagara Falls Big Brothers Big Sisters reach close to 200 children in 2008! Unfortunately, we still have dozens of children waiting for a volunteer Big Brother or Big Sister, and with your help, we hope to match them in 2009.
*Our theme in 2009 is SUPER HEROES! Be a part of the action, and start planning your costume now!

What is Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake?
Tim Hortons Bowl For Kids Sake is our most crucial fundraising campaign annually. Teams of 4-5 people solicit pledges from friends, family, and colleagues to support Niagara Falls Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs. As a thank you to those who participate and raise a minimum of $75, we invite you out to our bowling party for an hour and a half of bowling, games, prizes, and more. Prizes are awarded for those highest pledged bowler, highest pledged team, team spirit, and many other categories.
Why Support Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring Programs?
Research has shown that children involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring programs achieve more of their potential. They are less likely to act out in violence, more likely to graduate from High School, and less likely to abuse alcohol or drugs. In short, the presence of a caring volunteer mentor in the lives of children and youth in our community MAKES A LIFETIME OF DIFFERENCE!!
